Why we will never put ads in your dashboard

Open the reviews of almost any popular free WordPress plugin and sort by one star. You will not find many complaints about missing features. You will find the same three words over and over: ads, nags, notices.

The economics are easy to understand. A free plugin reaches a million sites, and every one of those dashboards becomes advertising space the developer owns. An upgrade banner here, a "rate us" nag there, a full-width notice for the Pro version on every screen. Each one is individually small. Together they are why so many site owners quietly hate their own admin.

Our promise

WP Pro Admin will never show you an ad, an upgrade nag, or a promotional dashboard notice. Not at install, not at update, not ever.

This is not a marketing line. It is a constraint in the codebase: an automated test walks every feature the plugin registers and fails the build if any of them adds a promotional admin notice. Breaking the promise breaks the release. The only notices allowed through are operational ones you asked for — like the security log entry when Registration Lockdown blocks an attempt to create an administrator.

Reversible, too

The same respect applies to your data. No feature makes a database change that outlives switching it off. Disable Comments hides comments, it never deletes them. Replace Media keeps the old file for thirty days. Turn any feature off and your site behaves as if it had never been on — the same standard we hold a version lock to: visible, opt-in, reversible, or it isn't protection at all.

A plugin is a guest on your site. Guests don't put up posters.
